Territory

The area in which the Casale di Nonno Guido is located is that of the Valle del Cesano, which takes its name from the river that crosses it, or the river Cesano that divides the provinces of Ancona and Pesaro-Urbino. We are therefore in the fantastic Marche hills in the Province of Ancona, exactly in the former Municipality of Monterado now Trecastelli.

Around:

• Senigallia famous for its Spiaggia di Velluto, Rotonda a Mare, the Summer Jamboree (International music festival of the 40s and 50s)
• Riviera del Conero (Regional Park of the Conero). The famous beaches: Spiaggia di Mezzavalle, Baia di Portonovo, Spiaggia delle Due Sorelle, Spiaggia dei Sassi Neri.
• Grotte di Frasassi (Regional Natural Park of the Gola della Rossa) Underground karst caves where you can admire natural sculptures by limestone layers of water and rock over 190 million years ago. Open all year round with various routes, from speleological tours to visits guided.
• Medieval Villages of Mondavio (with its Rocca Medievale dating back to the end of the XVIth century), Corinaldo, Cingoli, Gradara.

Moreover, are also impotant and unique place: The famous gorge eroded by water Gola del Furlo, Acqualagna (famous for the International Truffle Fair), Urbino (Italian Renaissance City of which the architectural are heritage of UNESCO since 1998) and the mountain Monte Catria (1701 m s.l.m.) Monte Nerone (1525m s.l.m.) with their activities both in winter and summer.
